Make no mistake about it: Any Democrat or Republican who insists on violating federal law to fund and arm state-sponsored war crimes is a defacto flaming pile of dog poop.

Gavin Newsom AND serial liar, rightwingnut thug Ben Shapiro both recently proved beyond any doubt that Newsom and Shapiro are either completely ignorant of federal law or prefer to violate federal law to provide U.S. arms to a government who has been using bi-partisan U.S. weapons to commit massive war crimes against the Palestinian people since LBJ began the unlawful practice in 1967.

The U.S. ARMS EXPORT CONTROL ACT, the U.S. FOREIGN ASSISTANCE ACT and the PAT LEAHY LAW strictly and specifically prohibit the U.S. government from providing U.S. weapons to ANY GOVERNMENT who uses our weapons in the commission of war crimes.

It is an unassailable hard-boiled fact that Israel has been using American weapons to commit massive war crimes against the Palestinian people and others for decades - not just the past two years of massive Israeli war crimes in Gaza and the West Bank.

Says who? Says virtually each and every global human rights organization on Planet Earth including the United Nations, that's who.

But such facts are lost and ignored by Gavin Newsom and Ben Shapiro who deem anyone anti-semitic who supports following federal law in opposing sending U.S. arms to Israel, who does in fact use American weapons to kill men, women and children and to literally destroy Palestinian society and infrastructure in Gaza and the West Bank.

Gavin Newsom invited Ben Shapiro to appear on Newsom's podcast where Newsom publicly displayed his ignorance of the law and human rights and professed his love for violating federal law to provide U.S. arms to Israel as Shapiro applauded Newsom's foolishness and deliberate indifference to Israel's victims.

From Haaretz:

Shapiro argued that accusing Israel of committing genocide in Gaza has become a "de rigueur requirement" for running for office, citing California Democrat Scott Wiener, who labeled it as such last week.

Shapiro asked Newsom whether he believed Israel had committed genocide in Gaza.

The governor responded that he understands "the tendency for people to make that assertion," based on the images coming out of Gaza.

"Ugly shit doesn't mean genocide," Shapiro replied.

Newsom answered: "I don't know the definition or the legal threshold, that's not my opinion," and "I don't agree with that notion."

Newsom added that he was not granting legitimacy to claims of genocide, but said, "I'm just saying the devastation in Gaza at the human level…. I think it's important to absorb that a bit more, just as it was sick and we were clear in our condemnation… of what Hamas did in that act of barbarism and terrorism," referring to the October 7 attack.

Newsom proved that he is a big, giant dumbass by admitting that he he doesn't know the definition or legal threshold of genocide BUT he disagrees with the claim that Israel has been committing a genocide against the Palestinian people. WTF?

Multiple authoritative bodies and major human-rights organizations have concluded or stated that Israel’s conduct in Gaza meets the legal threshold of genocide or genocidal acts:

a UN commission said Israeli authorities committed genocidal acts with intent;

Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have declared Israel is committing genocide and the International Association of Genocide Scholars and other expert groups issued similar findings.

Conversely Israel rejects these findings along with AIPAC-funded Democrats and Republicans who continue to violate federal law to illegally provide U.S. weapons to Israel.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has an ongoing case but has not yet issued a final judgment on genocide, but has issued ARREST WARRANTS for Israeli officials including Benjamin Netanyahu and for committing massive war crimes against the Palestinian people.

What the major human-rights reports say — concrete legal findings

Several leading human-rights organizations and a U.N. commission have concluded that Israeli actions in Gaza meet one or more acts listed in the 1948 Genocide Convention and, in some findings, display genocidal intent.

The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry found Israeli authorities and security forces committed four of the five genocidal acts (killing, causing serious harm, inflicting life conditions calculated to destroy, and measures to prevent births) and said statements and patterns of conduct indicated intent.

Amnesty International’s December 2024 and later briefings concluded Israel is committing genocide and urged the world not to accept a ceasefire as erasing responsibility.

Human Rights Watch reported that deliberate deprivation of water and sanitation met the threshold for extermination and an act of genocide.

Shapiro said there is a difference between deliberate terrorism and wartime collateral damage.

Newsom replied, "it wasn't just collateral," and when pressed on whether Israel was targeting civilians, the governor pointed to "double-tapping" strikes by the Israeli army.

The governor added, "I have a lot of issues with how Bibi ultimately conducted the war, I personally do. And I have a lot of issues that are also painted on the basis of the conversation I had with him a few weeks after October 7, and the way he talked about Palestinians. I kept talking about Hamas, he kept talking about Palestinians. I kept coming back to Hamas and then ultimately how the war was conducted. Not saying it was a genocide, but I have issues. The devastation and destruction break my heart."

Newsom said that while he is "crystal clear" on Hamas, he added, "I'm also crystal clear about my love for Israel and condemnation of Bibi, and there is a distinction. I condemn Donald Trump. I love my country."

The governor emphasized that people who criticize Netanyahu are not antisemitic, and said it is important to state this clearly because the two are often conflated.

Shapiro acknowledged that he, too, has criticized Netanyahu "for not being right-wing enough," prompting Newsom to respond: "God bless you, man."

Shapiro added that Netanyahu's rivals, Naftali Bennett or Yair Lapid, would not have acted differently than Netanyahu in Gaza, to which Newsom replied: "Fair point."

Newsom, who has served as governor of California since 2019, is seen as a possible frontrunner for the 2028 Democratic presidential nomination, leading, according to a RealClearPolitics poll average, with around 24 percent, ahead of former nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris' 21 percent.

In addition to Shapiro, Newsom has hosted MAGA firebrands such as Steve Bannon and Charlie Kirk on his podcast.

In October, Newsom said he would decide whether to run for president after the 2026 midterm elections in November, adding that he would be "lying" if he said he was not seriously considering a bid.

Newsom and Shapiro spoke at length without once mentioning the fact that Israel is committing masssive war crimes using American weapons illegally provided by both Democrats and Republicans.

The Gaza genocide is the ongoing, intentional, and systematic destruction of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip carried out by Israel during the Gaza war.

It encompasses mass killings, deliberate starvation, infliction of serious bodily and mental harm, and prevention of births.

Other acts include blockading, destroying civilian infrastructure, destroying healthcare facilities, killing healthcare workers and aid-seekers, causing mass forced displacement, committing sexual violence, and destroying educational, religious, and cultural sites.

The genocide has been recognized by a United Nations special committee and commission of inquiry, the International Association of Genocide Scholars, multiple human rights groups, numerous genocide studies, international law scholars and other experts.

By December 2025, the Gaza Health Ministry had reported that at least 70,117 people in Gaza had been killed.

The vast majority of the victims were civilians and around 50% were women and children.

Compared to other recent global conflicts, the numbers of known deaths of journalists, humanitarian and health workers, and children are among the highest.

Thousands more uncounted bodies are thought to be under the rubble of destroyed buildings.

A study in the medical journal The Lancet estimated that traumatic injury deaths were undercounted by June 2024, while noting an even larger potential death toll when "indirect" deaths are included.

The number of injured is greater than 171,000.

Gaza has the most child amputees per capita in the world.

The Gaza war caused more than 21,000 children to be disabled.

An Israeli blockade heavily contributed to starvation and confirmed famine.

As of August 2025, projections show about 641,000 people experiencing catastrophic levels and that "the number of people facing emergency levels will likely increase to 1.14 million."

Early in the conflict, Israel cut off Gaza's water and electricity, but it later partially restored the water.

As of May 2024, 84% of Gaza's health centers have been destroyed or damaged.

Israel also destroyed numerous cultural heritage sites, including all 12 of Gaza's universities, and 80% of its schools.

Over 1.9 million Palestinians—85% of Gaza's population—were forcibly displaced.
