Why has "Peace in the Middle East" been so difficult and elusive?
If you ask Netanyahu and Israelis, Why has "Peace in the Middle East" been so difficult and elusive? they will invariably tell you that THE PROBLEM is Palestinians hate Jews and will never stop hating and attacking Jews because Israelis are Jewish and Palestinians are evil Jew-hating animals to be exterminated like vermin.
American politicians - Democrat and Republican - both echo this longstanding Israeli sentiment and talking point.
In fact, Zionism and U.S. bi-partisan support of Israel is built upon and relies upon this "LIE-OF-THE-CENTURY."
Without Israel's "LIE-OF-THE-CENTURY" Americans would be forced to make a much more objective examination of "Peace in the Middle East."
The capstone, or seminal element of "Why has Peace in the Middle East been so difficult and elusive?" is the unmitigated fact that Israeli leaders and the Israeli government has never been content to live within the legal, lawful boundaries of the State of Israel.
Since the establishment of the State of Israel on agreed upon "blue lines" in 1948, the Israeli government used violent, superior military force to steall Palestinian land, expanding the State of Israel far beyond its original borders.
Why can't the Israeli government be content to enjoy their State of Israel on Israel's duly established borders and actually live within Israel's official borders?
The correct answer is Israeli leaders and a majority of Israeli Jews believe in and subscribe to their Zionist belief they call "GREATER ISRAEL."
What is "GREATER ISRAEL?"
It is the Zionist belief that Israel is entitled to own all the land "from the river to the sea."
Netanyahu and Israeli Zionists believe the State of Israel is entitle to own and operate parts of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, the West Bank, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Iran - from the Nile River to the Mediterranean and Red Seas.
It's worth noting the millions of Jews do not subscribe to Zionism and the Zionist national state goal of achieving "GREATER ISRAEL."
Non-state Jews strongly oppose Zionism and Zionists and condemn Zionism as a violent political ideology wholly incongruent with true Judaism.

When Israel invaded Syria and the Palestinian territories on June 5, 1967, Israel began their illegal occupation of stolen land.
On November 22, 1967 the world community came together at the United Nations and decided to kick Israel out of Syria and Palestine by issuing U.N. Resolution 242, ordering Israel to fully withdraw from the stolen land.
To this day Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli officials have repeatedly stated that Israel will never, ever comply with U.N. Res. 242 under any circumstances.
Obviously Syria and the Palestinian territories do not belong to Israel, so why does Netanyahu and Israelis adamantly refuse to comply with international law and withdraw from stolen land?
The correct answer is "GREATER ISRAEL" - Netanyahu and Israeli government officials disregard international law and order in favor of executing, implementing and achieving their national Zionist goal they call "GREATER ISRAEL."
The Israeli government has a modus operandi and record of stealing land by force since the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.
Israeli government officials have a long history of ignoring international law and cooperation, such as Israel refusing to become a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and never admitting to (illegal) possession of nuclear bombs.

Trump will NOT be launching any attack on Iran for several reasons, not the least of which is Pentagon war game simulations indicate massive naval losses and unacceptable casualties; and because Donald Trump has billions in financial interests and ownership in the Arab states, i.e., hotels, oil and gas pipelines, etc.
Trump really does want Peace in the Middle East for his own gains and interests - not because he is a philanthropist for peace.
Furthermore, Iran's Ayatollah has been talking about a ground invasion of Israel in lieu of a massive missile attack on Israel.
The U.S. NOR ANYONE ELSE has operational capability to stop an evasive hypersonic missile attack.
You either have operational evasive hypersonic missile capacity or you don't.
The U.S. wasted the past 25 years and trillions of tax dollars on fighter jets and shipborne lasers that don't work, instead of developing and installing operational evasive hypersonic missile capacity.
